"Seeing The Gloaming perform live was one the the most memorable and moving experiences of my life. This Irish music 'Super-Group' weaves together minimalistic interpretations of Irish melodies with lush, modern orchestrations that are often likened to the music of the popular, 'avant-rock' Icelandic band, Sigur Rós. This live album was recorded in Dublin at their 'home theatre,' the National Concert Hall. Each song unfolds gradually into a meditational experience, that evolves from a simple, beautiful melody and develops into a 5-piece improvisational masterpiece. Martin Hayes' virtuosic fiddle unifies the sound and remains at the foundation of each piece. This album is a perfect celebration of collaborative sound."
"Back in New York after closing a production of 'Daddy Long Legs' at freeFall Theatre Company in St. Pete, FL. As Jervis Pendleton, an affluent philanthropist, I had the opportunity to explore how privilege and education deeply impact our daily lives. It was so wonderful to return to freeFall Theatre after spending their 2015-2016 Season as an Artist-In-Residence, performing in productions of The Light in the Piazza, The Importance of Being Earnest...with Zombies, and The Pirates of Penzance. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to bring this story to life with my castmate, Britta Ollmann, in this beautifully scored, romantic musical about how we help the ones we love become more nuanced versions of ourselves through collaboration and communication."
